Sheldon Akapew Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheldon Akapew (Raymore, Saskatchewan), who passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert Favel (Alma), John and Clara Bellegarde; his parents, Lawrence "Walls" Bellegarde and Catherine Akapew; his sister Karen Lavoie; his brothers-in-law, James Maurice and Gary Gordon; and his nephews, Kyle Pinay, Sheldon Bitternose and Bear.

He is survived by: his children, Heavenlee Hozempa (Andrew) and Michael Akapew (Bobbi Isbister); his adoptive son Kevin Quewezance; his siblings, Nadine, Maureen, Lawrence, Laureen and Delanne (Donnie); his grandchildren, Bentley and Ollie; his adoptive parents, Verna Starr (Brian), Denita, Joanne (Gary), Cindy and Sonia (Chief Mike Starr); and his sister Beverly Bellegarde (Cal McNabb). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
