He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav and Lydia; and his brothers, Gerhardt, Arthur and Helmut.

He is survived by: his wife Florence; his children, Kim (Jeremy) and Dean; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Kris) and Jackie; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Alex, Bryden and Presley.
