He was predeceased by: his wife Hilde; his parents, William Missal and Hulda Missal; his brother Herb (Fay); his nieces, Denise and Elaine; and his brother Ernest.

He is survived by: his children, Jan Brown (Bill) and Craig Missal; his grandchildren, Jason (Tammy), Jeff, Michael (Jennifer), Brady Brown (Dee), Julie Mann (Jason) and Chad Missal; his sister-in-law June Missal; and his grandson Bill.
