He was predeceased by: his children, Sheldon and Rhea; his parents, Walter Maier and Olga Maier; his parents-in-law, Christian and Elizabeth Brenner; and his siblings-in-law, Wally Adolphe, Walter "Wally" Weber, Bob Nixon, Bob Hanson, Chris Brenner, Carl Brenner, Ann Chan-Choong, Joan Brenner and Bernice Brenner.
He is survived by: his wife Bev; his son Shawn (Raegan); his grandchildren, Bo and Brock; his daughter Michelle Mychan; his grandchildren, Kya and Wyatt; his children, Joel (Angela), Brody, Kya and Wyatt; his sister Val Dobson (Bill); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Adolphe, Lorraine Weber, Hilde Hanson, Agnes Brenner, Elmer Brenner (Roberta McKay), Irvin Brenner (Judy) and Stan Chan-Choong (Alycia). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider a donation to an organization that supports children or to the Stars Air Ambulance, causes close to Barry's heart. Alternatively, donations may be made to SuperHEROS Regina, a charity that Barry's grandson, Brock, participated in.
