He was predeceased by: his brother Richard; his parents, Gilbert and Alice; and his brother-in-law Mervin Sr.. He is survived by: his son Kyle Hendry; his grandson Kaiden; and his sisters, Shirley, Anna (Roy), Lorna, Sharon, June, Sandy (Jacques), Faye, Lisa (Peter), Barb (Richard), Gail and Brenda (Eric). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
