He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth; his daughters, Charlene Werner (Stephen), Cathy Kropf (Kevin) and Carla Trower (Merlin); his grandchildren, Ryan, Sydney, Taylor Kropf, Gerame and Makenzie Trower; and his sisters, Marlene Panko (Duane) and Nancy Shannon (Bruce).

“Betty and family: So sorry to hear of the passing of my friend/mentor/part time dad. Our time spent working together turned into a friendship that I will always cherish. Charlie was one of the greatest mentors I had, both at work and in life. He was instrumental in my career and I will always be grateful for that. I always felt welcome at the Shimsha house and miss those discussions we had over many topics. I only wish I had kept in touch over the years. My most sincere condolences and prayer”
