He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gelowitz and Mary Gelowitz; and his parents-in-law, Adolf and Olga Dickoff. He is survived by: his wife Anne Gelowitz; his children, Cherie Frick (Arlan), Scott Gelowitz (Jennifer) and Sheldon Gelowitz; his grandchildren, Luke, Jessica, Zachary, Travis, Rachel, Rebecca and Ryan; and his siblings, Phyllis Bailey (Glen), Hilda Derkach, Linda Smith (Lorne), Jean Straker (Lyle), Christine Jasper and Sam Gelowitz (Sharon).

Charles was always very dedicated to his religious life and donated his time and effort to the communities he lived in.
