It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deanna Marie George in Regina, Saskatchewan, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Angus Sunkawasti and Zilda Peigan (Orville); her nephews, Marshall and Damon Laplante; her sister Elizabeth George (Babes); and her adoptive son James Matachuk.
She is survived by: her children, Austin, Shay and Trista; her siblings, Kelsey H. George, Cherlynn George, Olivia Peigan (Livi), Jamie Peigan and Yvette Strongeagle; her close friends, Dwayne Matachuk and Stacey Stonechild; her adoptive children, Breanna Matachuk, Ryan Matachuk (Riggs) and Janelle Matachuk; and her nieces, Haley George and Shayleen Matachuk (Honey).
