It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Audrey (Winniski) Bernakevitch (Regina, Saskatchewan), who passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Winniski and Victoria Winniski; her husband Larry; her son Kim; and her sister Hope.
She is survived by: her son Kelly Bernakevitch (Celeste); her grandchildren, Brett, Tyler (Brooke) and Rae (Shawn); her great grandchildren, Vera and Gemma; her son Trent Bernakevitch (Carol); her grandchildren, Andrew and Lauren; and her uncles, Walter and Rudy. She is also survived by spouses, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church (55 McMurchy Ave, Regina, SK S4R3G3).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Athanasius Memorial Fund.
