She was predeceased by: her husband Wilfred Smith; her parents, Harold Krogsgaard and Martha Krogsgaard; and her siblings, John Malm, Ellis Krogsgaard and Carole Straker.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Elsaesser (Don), Linda Ashby, Doug Smith (Colleen), Claude Smith (Betty Ann), Chris Gattinger (Frank), Mike Smith (Michele) and Debbie Kiel (Garnet); and her siblings, Bordy Krogsgaard, Ruby Elford Bell and Sharon Robinson (Rob). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and their spouses; and 45 great-grandchildren and their spouses.
