It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Cecile McAvena (Regina, Saskatchewan), who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William McAvena and Clara McAvena; her former husband Gus Schum of Regina, SK.; her husband Wilfred Armstrong; and her siblings, Roy McAvena, William McAvena, Frederick McAvena, Leonard McAvena, Howard McAvena, Karel McAvena, George McAvena, Jannie Swinnerton, Dorothy Miller, Emma Duff, Edna Jestin and Olive Beard.

She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Lee McAvena and Irene McAvena. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
