He was predeceased by: his wife Bernadine; his parents, Joseph New and Lydia New; his parents-in-law, Felix and Helen Kuzmicz; and his siblings, Raymond (Vern), Olga (Marlene), Eleanor (Alma) and Sam Allan (Lawrence Sebastian).
He is survived by: his sisters, Ruth Allan and Helen Sebastian; his brother-in-law Ben Kuzmicz (Geraldine); his daughters, Cheryl Duke and Lori Duke (David Clow); his son-in-law Erwin Ottenbreit (David Yaranon); his grandchildren, Rachel Malawski (Andrew), Thomas Ottenbreit (Alanna Bens), Hannah Ottenbreit (Jack Sloboda), Michael Clow and Andrew Clow; his great grandchildren, Miles, Adele and Annie Malawski; and his grandchildren, Elijah, Wesley and Grace Ottenbreit. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
