He is survived by: his wife Maureen (Moe); his son Ryan; his grandchildren, Sophia, Van, Lily and Levi; his nephew Kevin Butler; his nieces, Shannon Moore and Cashel Butler; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lindsay, Kirsten, Trevor, Brendyn and Layeth.
At the age of 70, "Butts" hung up his skates due to his illness with Parkinson's Disease, a diagnosis he accepted with dignity and courage.
