George Richard Richard Stroeder Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George R. Stroeder on February 24, 2021 at the age of 85. The youngest son of 11 children, George was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Clara, and eight brothers and sisters: Victor, Edward, Bernard, Peter, Joe, Mary Clare, Sr. Magdalene (Annie) and Imelda.

George is survived by his life partner Inez Yoner and four children from his first marriage: Robert, Donna (Patrick) Hordyski, Rod (Darla), Jill and granddaughter Sarah, as well as his two sisters Mary (Jim) Lavery and Sally (Richard) Muench. He is also survived by his extended family with Inez’s children; Vincent (Carol), Tammy, Cordell (Alice); five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate George’s life will be held at Resurrection Catholic Parish at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in-person attendance is restricted to invited guests only, but a livestream will be available via this link: http://www.resurrectionparish.ca
