She was predeceased by : her parents, John Horne and Grace Horne; her son Doug; her husband Clarence; her sister Sheila; her siblings-in-law, Martin, Alis and Florence; her parents-in-law, Evelyn and Ivor Backman; and her sisters-in-law, Marlene, Darlene and Irene.

She is survived by : her children, Brian, Brenda (Derrick) and Darcy (Sandy); her grandsons, Alex and Kaius; her siblings, Bob, Don (Shirley) and Nell; and her niece Bev (Archie). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
