He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Brinkworth; his parents, Joseph Brinkworth and Gladys Brinkworth; and his brothers, Joe Brinkworth, Roy Brinkworth and Albert Ernest Brinkworth.

He is survived by: his children, Jayson Brinkworth (Laura Roddick) and Janie Brinkworth; his grandchildren, Tyson Brinkworth (Jessica Lloyd), Jayla Brinkworth and Cooper Roddick-Brinkworth; and his sister Lorretta Madarash.
