He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; and his children, Theodore Paul, Sydney and Hanya. He is survived by: his children, Mary, Charlie (Donna), Olive (Leon), Marlene (Gaza), Mathilda, Yvonne (Charles), George (Rhonda), Jane (Darryl), David (Crystal), Donna (Glen) and Stephen (Jamie). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
