He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Gropp; his son Norm Gropp; his parents, Carl Gropp and Betty Gropp; and his brother Ken Gropp.
He is survived by: his son Allan Gropp (Lesley Cook); his granddaughters, Katelyn Ariss (Travis) and Madison Gropp (Bret Shillington); his daughter-in-law Andrea Gropp; his grandson Adam Gropp (Sarah); his great grandchild Olivia Gropp; his granddaughter Samantha Gropp; his great grandchildren, Cohen and Lila Legassic-Gropp; and his brother George Gropp (Tina).
Jim lived an active and purposeful life, working on charity projects in his younger years and continuing to take on countless projects both in the city and at the lake.
