It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joan Sabo (Regina, Saskatchewan), who passed away, on November 1, 2023. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernice Berry and William Berry; her husband Dan; her sons, Angus (Kathy) and Morgan (Amanda); her siblings, Bill (Marian), Dougal (Lisa) and Connie (Julia); and her grandchildren, Norah, Arie, Edith and Mia. She was also cherished by mom to her sons, they were close friends.

During the pandemic lockdown she set up "Grandma School" online sessions, drawing on her teaching background to keep her grandkids' minds growing.

Donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre (via Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan) or to the Pasqua Hospital palliative care unit (via Hospitals of Regina Foundation: Palliative Care Services).
