He was predeceased by: his former wife Genevieve North; his parents, Arthur North and Laura North; his parents-in-law, Alex and Annie Rissling; and his sisters, Ethel Stevens (Vern) and Lois Hanson (Ralph).

He is survived by: his son Dr. Scott North; his siblings-in-law, Sandy Vandale (Garry), Leo Rissling (Eileen), Gary Rissling (Donna) and Brian Rissling (Dolly); and his wife Jenny. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

I will never forget the kindness and support that we received. Years back, John accompanied me on a northern fishing lodge expedition.
