He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Schiestel and Ed Schiestel; his parents-in-law, Henry and Kathleen Mutz; and his brothers-in-law, Gerry Mutz and Garry Brooks.

He is survived by: his wife Diane; his daughters, Priscilla Vogel and Tanya Schiestel; his grandchildren, Kelly and Jamilynn Vogel; his sisters, Betty Reed (Mike), Bonnie Martin and Sandra Kreics (Bill); and also, Deloris Brooks, Irene Paskowski (Mike) and Loretta Benning (Pat).
