Josephine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Agnes Cappo and Patrick Cappo; her siblings, Patrick Denis Cappo, John Cappo, Leonard Piapot, Rose Nadeau, Marjorie Piapot and Eliza Pelletier; her son David Dean; her sons-in-law, Wayne Papequash and Cheb Pelletier; her granddaughters, Vanessa Lillian and Autumn Rain; and the fathers of children, Calvin Poitras and Laurie Poness.
She is survived by: her children, Ron (Cindy), Marilyn (Ben), Joe, Lori, Leon, Crystal, Jaclyn, Skye (Elijah) and Marissa; and her adoptive son Joey Cappo.
A wake was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Piapot First Nation. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
