He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Freed and Ernest Freed; his daughter Gail Wheeler (Les); his siblings, Edward Freed (Phyllis) and Bernice Karcha (Matt); and his niece Elaina Dareichuk.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Freed; his children, Glenn Freed (Sue Beaudry), Gregg Freed and Karen Magnus (Brent); and his grandchild Taylor. He is also survived by numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
