The family announces the passing of Lai Kam Cheung (Regina, Saskatchewan) on September 3, 2026. Lai, born on July 24, 1939, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Lai will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honour Lai by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Lai is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Lai’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Yuk Shu Cheung and Siu Yee Chun. She is survived by: her children, Venice Wai Man Soo, Winnie Wai Man Soo, Betsy Wai Fan Soo (Wing Chung Yau) and Wing Lok Soo; and her brothers, Wai Sum Cheung of Richmond, BC and Wai Cheun Cheung of Hong Kong. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish (3155 Windsor Park Rd, Regina, SK S4V3B1). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In honor of her love for animals, memorial donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society or Regina Cat Rescue.
