He was predeceased by: his parents, George Werner and Ellen Werner; and his siblings, Gerry, Ron, Brian and Evelyn.

He is survived by: his wife Judy (MacDougall); his daughters, Eliza Carpenter (Dave), Sara Potter (James) and Laura Donovan (Dave); and his grandchildren, Brianna, Anika, Sierra, Jack, Rebecca and Erica.
