He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Smythe and May Smythe; and his brother Orville Smythe. He is survived by: his wife Kim Smythe; his siblings, Eleanor Smythe (Dave Ottenbreit) and Rick Smythe (Susan); his daughter Cassandra Smythe (Jared Poitras-Whitehawk); and his grandchildren, Violet and Thaddeus. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
