She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dech and Katherine Dech; and her brother Norman Dech. She is survived by: her husband Emil; her daughters, Tammie (Mike Colles) and Jennifer Chekay (Trent); her grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Gavin, Alivia, Ava and Nathan; and her sister Joan Singbeil (Ted). She is also survived by numerous nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial donations in Linda's name can be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church or to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic.
