He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Nixdorf and Elsa Nixdorf; his siblings, James, Harry and Benita Schindler; and his parents-in-law, Nick and Barbara Andreas.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Daren (Patreese) and Dawn; his grandchildren, Joshua (Renee), Taryn and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Zophia, Sloane and Imogen; and his sister Betty Hehn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
