He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Schmeltzer and Mary Schmeltzer; his wife June; and his siblings, Frank and Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Pluhowy (Jamie) and Jody Schmeltzer (Jill); his grandchildren, Jessica (Jaymes), Madisyn, Nicholas and Noah; his great grandchildren, Cali-Anne and Lilly-June; his sister Maxine Litzenberger; and his close friend Dorothy Kehler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
