He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Brecht and Monica Brecht; his wife Helen; his daughter-in-law Monique; his son Warren; his grandchildren, Allison and Christopher; and his great grandchildren, Athena and Alekzandr.

Throughout his life, Peter was a social butterfly and always liked to be in the centre of the action, he died how he lived his life, in Saskatchewan's hotbed of Covid at Parkside Extendicare.
