He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph and Helene; his brother Paul; his brother-in-law Larry Riffel; and his father-in-law Howard Jackson.

He is survived by : his wife Shelley; his children, Mark (Kirsten) and Michelle Pool (Tyler); his sisters, Evelyne Riffel and Denise Code (Bill); his mothers-in-law, Gwen, Donna Braithwaite (Ron) and Terry Jackson (Janet); and his grandchildren, Mireille, Colton, Nolan, Aubrey, Joseph, Leo and Xavier. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations in Ray's memory may be made to Palliative Care, Unit 3A at the Regina Pasqua Hospital, c/o Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 1874 Scarth St., Regina, Saskatchewan S4P 4B3.

“I was a fellow classmate of Ray's at U of S. I left for a job in Victoria after graduating and I could see that Ray would excel in leadership and governance roles. Ray and another fellow grad (Glen) came out to visit me shortly after graduating. I have many fond memories of Ray at University and during the few times we were able to connect.
