He was predeceased by: his wife Corrine Paul; his parents, Mike Hydamacka and Frances Hydamacka; and his brothers, Norman (Eileen) and Lawrence Hydamacka.

He is survived by: his son Jason (Christina); his grandsons, Andrew, John and Alexander of Elkford, BC; his daughter Carey (Sean); his granddaughter Sadie of Saskatoon, SK; his siblings, Geraldine McLean, Betty Karpinski (Allan), Eldeen Krochak (David), Donna Mittermayr (Erich), Donny Hydamacka (Sharon) and Gordie Hydamacka; and his sister-in-law Debbi Hydamacka.
