He was predeceased by: his daughter Diana; his parents, John and Ida; his brother Leonard; and his former wife Viola Christoffel.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Kress; his son Mark (Shelley); his grandsons, Ehren and Eric; his great grandchild Rosa of Toronto; his daughter Lori Dunstan (Garnet) of Regina; and his sister Edith Thompson of Lemberg.

A celebration of life will take place after the pandemic.
