He was predeceased by: his father Dale; and his grandparents, Jack, Doreen Struthers, Martin and Rose Hammel.

He is survived by: his mother Marie; his brothers, Ryan, Dean (Jamie) and Neil (Angela); his nephews, Matthew and Nolan; his niece Madison; his uncles, Wayne Struthers (Laura), Frank Hammel (Rita) and Meinrad Hammel (Josie); and his close friend Lisa. He is also survived by her family; and many treasured friends and co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Scott may be made to the Milestone Memorial Centre (hockey arena).
