He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ries and Olga Ries of Craven; his son Stuart; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Theresia Riess of Strasbourg.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Riess; his daughter Stacey Kraus (Mike); his grandchildren, Nya and Mason Kraus; and his son Steven. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
