He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Benson and William Benson; and his siblings, Louis, Bill Benson and Lucille McCowan.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Sherry Hnidan (Bruce) and Douglas Benson; his grandchildren, Taryn Hnidan (Jesse), Travis Hnidan (Marianne), Stephen Benson (Nadine) and Michael Benson; and his great grandchild Faye Hnidan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In observance of Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
