He was predeceased by: his wife Esther; his parents, William and Elizabeth; his brothers, Robert, Richard and Eric; and his grandson Thomas.
He is survived by: his sons, Glenn (Marlene) of Calgary, Bryan (Cathy) of Winchester, Ontario and Ian (Carolyn) of Regina; his grandchild Kyle; and his siblings, Gavin of Kelowna, B. C. and Elizabeth Parks of Regina. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Bill enjoyed the variety and scope of the work in the CFA and was honoured to receive a "Distinguished Graduate in Agriculture Award" from the U of S in recognition of his contributions to, and through, the federation. He was an active volunteer in his community and at his church, and his contributions to various programs and projects through the years were recognized with a "Community Volunteer Award" in Ottawa.
