He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ponsford and Leah Ponsford; his daughters, Cheryl and Colleen; his parents-in-law, James and Daisy; his siblings, Stanley (Agnes), Sylvia (Harold), Doreen (Hugh) and Jerry; and his siblings-in-law, Vera-Lynn and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Maxine; his daughters, Shannon (Rick) and Shaela; and his siblings-in-law, June (Bill), Ron, Rick (Rish) and Richard (Brenda). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
