He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dan Marcenko and Mary Marcenko; his wife Irene Prefontaine; his children, Dennis (Debby), James (Renee), Patti and Mark (Jan); his brother John (Audrey); and his sister-in-law Marilyn Marcenko. He was also cherished by five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
