He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Heagy and Helen Heagy (McCabe); his siblings, Lloyd, Erwin, Clarence (Berniece), Floyd, Clare (Vangie), Doris (Tony Cardinal), Ruby (Harvey Chute) and Esther (Chick Burke); his parents-in-law, Thor and Mabel Spagrud (Bjornson); his siblings-in-law, Dianne Spagrud and Melvin Spagrud (Marion); and his granddaughter Kimberly Mamer.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Edna Spagrud of Rockglen; his children, Blair (Julianne) and Patti (Ron Mamer); his grandchildren, Jared Heagy, Travis Mamer, Samantha Mamer (Kyle Hall) and Justine (Layne Headrick); his great grandchildren, Annalynn and Rayna Headrick; his siblings, Francis (Arnold Reimer) and Vincent (Susan); and his siblings-in-law, Ed Spagrud (Marlene Petrow) and Betty Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
