“24 years ago I took Mr. Luciuk grade 12 history class. Everyone was fighting to get into it. With his Saving Private Ryan Poster. Teaching us the mojo block for the geography game, taking 30 seniors to Italy 🇮🇹 and making it fun & educational. His class room door at the end of the hallway was never closed & you could ask him anything. He made school a fun place to be, and a long standing impression on his students. Thoughts go out to his family & loss they have”

“I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Luciuk, my history and advisory teacher. I was incredibly lucky to have him as my teacher for 4 years, and participate in his HSTP program that changed my life forever, ultimately leading me to live in Europe after high school. His kindness, guidance, and the opportunities he created shaped countless students’ lives. His impact on our school and the Saskatoon community was immense. My deepest condolences to his loved ones.”

“I had him as a history teacher in highschool, he was my favourite teacher. He made his classes engaging and fun and showed how much he really cared and loved teaching. He saw me crying in the hallway one day and later pulled me aside to tell me I could come to his classroom if I ever needed anything and that his door was always open for me. I never forgot that kind gesture from him as highschool was a very difficult time for me, I’ll never forget him, he helped me more than he knew.”

I was privileged to have him for history class, and I was privileged to be in the HSTP with him. He really shaped me as a person. His compassion and quick wit with stick with me forever. My classes with him are what I remember most from high school and he had such a deep impact on probably all of us kids.”
