He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ernst and Elsa Ernst; his siblings, Fred, John, William, Walter and Margaret Friberg; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Laura Armstrong; and his siblings-in-law, Resa Armstrong and Bill Hubick.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou; his sons, Mark (Sharla), Miles (Louise) and Murray (Jannelle); his grandchildren, Brendan (Alex), Kiara (Bryn), Jordan Ernst, Ethan, Jackson (Jordyn), Liam (Teagan), Cole Ernst, Peyton, Wyatt (Natalie) and Koy Ernst; and his siblings-in-law, Gladys Ernst, Linda Hubick and John Armstrong (Maryann). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
