He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram Friesen and Mathilda Friesen; his wife Eileen Friesen; his siblings-in-law, George, Esther Wagner, Ed Janzen, Dick Serack and Donna Suranyi; his nephew Lyle Janzen; and his niece Kylee Wagner.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie, Cary and Brent; his great grandchildren, Bonnie (Bruce), Cody (Meagan), Crew and Brett Pongracz; and his grandchildren, Cary Friesen, Brent Friesen (Angela), Raquel (Jeff), Payten, Charli, Madden, Cooper, Carter Caffet and Tayler Friesen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice at Glengarda or the Canadian Cancer Society.
