Averill leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Averill’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Averill will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, Viola Froberg and Adolph Froberg; and his brother-in-law Stan Finch. He is survived by: his daughters, Marnie and Darlene; his sister Joyce Finch; and his sister-in-law Pat Derbowka. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, their children and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Edwards Family Center (333 4th Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2L7).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be sent to the Oliver Lodge Angels of Care Fund in Averill's name.
