She was predeceased by: her husband Stewart Hanson; her daughter Sharon Nelson; her parents, Norman Walper and Annie Pickard; her in-laws, Alma and Maurice Hanson Sr.; her siblings, Lil McMillan (Milt), Norma Edmison (Ross), Bill Walper (Audrey) and Len Walper (Joyce); her in-laws, Donald, Kathleen Hanson, Roland, Martha Hanson, Dorothy Hanson, Rodney Hanson and Trudy Hanson; Ray Nelson.

She is survived by: her children, Val (Rod Petrie), Lindsay and Noreen (Dave Bomersbach); her grandchildren, Jessica Bomersbach (Gage Lubchenko) and Jared Bomersbach (Channing Shanks); and her siblings-in-law, Micker Hanson, Lynda Whittaker, Frances Hanson and Pat Hanson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
