He was predeceased by: his parents, William Brown and Winifred "Winnie" Brown; and his brothers, Joseph "Joe", Edward "Eddie", William "Billy" and Mathew "Matt".

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Brown; his sons, Geoff Brown (Sheri Hupp) and Danny "Dan" (Sarah Brown); his grandchildren, Sophie and Poppy; his son Paul (Ghaydaa Brown); and his grandson Paul Jr.. He is also survived by his many extended family including nieces and nephews.
