He was predeceased by: his son Michael McLeod; and his parents, Aeleen McLeod and Elmer McLeod. He is survived by: his daughter Lexy (Alex Bairos); his grandsons, Lincoln and Levi; his siblings, Joyce Bighead (Frank), Bonny Peneff (Calvin), Donna Sarrazin (Allan), Brenda Duff (Al Ackland), Russell McLeod (Julie), Curtis McLeod (Alicia) and Kyle McLeod; and the mother of his children Nicole Hartmann. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“I was very saddened to hear the news of Cal’s passing. Met Cal when he first came to Saskatoon from Prince Albert and became very good friends… we played lots of hockey together back then, Cal was a good player….He had your back no matter what and was a true friend. Spent lots of time having lunches at the his Moms restaurant, ate a ton of meals there, Very lucky…I often thought of him over the years…Rest in Peace Cal…My deepest condolences to all the family…Thinking of Cal today…Dustin McCowan”
