Cecelia M Hitchings Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 15, 2025, at the age of 95, Cecelia M Hitchings (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer Vernon Hitchings; her parents, George Meyer and Mary Meyer; her siblings, Albert, Frank, John, George, Mary Meyer, Johanna Eggerman and Hilda Adamson; her brothers-in-law, Stan Adamson, Henry Eggerman and Charles Saretsky; and her nephew Kerry Adamson.

She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Mervin Hitchings (family: Amanda Regier), Lorelei Scappaticci (Alex), Myrna Lindenbach (Tim, family: Melissa Mellor), Carly Jahner (Trace), Danielle Sium (Efrem), Melvin Hitchings (Teofila) and Michael Hitchings (Brenda, family: Whitney Neu, Brandon, Hitchings, Austin); her sister Florence Saretsky; her sister-in-law Donna Meyer; her parents-in-law, Herbert Hitchings and Elizabeth May Hitchings; and also, Jasmine, Esther Beckett (Ralph), Georgina Fennell (Dave), Wilma Defries (Allan), Maizie Haichert (Philip), Phyllis Schellenberg (Victor), Murray Hitchings (Francis) and Clifton Hitchings (Violet). She is also survived by her four children, eight grandchildren.

After the loss of her closest sister Hilda in 2012, mom began to show signs of dementia which declined greatly during COVID19.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
