He was predeceased by: his father Creston Story; his mother-in-law Pauline Malanowich; and his brother-in-law David Malanovich. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, Matthew Jordan and Joshua David; his mother Rose; his siblings, Barbara (Dennis) and Joseph (Melissa); his sisters-in-law, Kathy Malanovich, Judy Bogner (Lonny) and Judy Malanovich; and his father-in-law John. He is also survived by nephew and nieces, aunt, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or Ranger Community Co-Op Association.
