He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Dewald and Hildegard Dewald. He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his daughters, Carla Loeppky (Warren), Angela Neumann (Tim) and Christina Stus (Devin); his grandchildren, Caroline, Paul, John Loeppky, Bennett, Judah and Levi Neumann; and his brothers, Mike (Hilda), Ron (Mary-Jean), Ed (Mary Ann), John (Carmen) and Roger.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bridge on 20th or The Canadian Cancer Society.
